STUDENT SUCCESSES
Our proudest moments are seeing you all grow and progress on your musical journeys so we wanted to take some time to celebrate you all.
If you have something you want to share, a musical milestone, a grade, a composition, anything, then get in touch with us and let us know so we can celebrate with you and share it with our community!
WEST END Success
One of our students, Jasper, went on to grace the stages of the West End as a cast member of the amazing musical School Of Rock in 2017 and he has played multiple roles in the show and is still performing with them today!
We couldn't be prouder than when we saw you up on that stage Jasper, we can't wait to see what you do next...
Getting jazzy...
We love this video of BDMA student Tilda performing like a real jazz star with a band made up of BDMA tutors and friends. And that talent didn't go unnoticed - Tilda will be attending Tring Park School for the Performing Arts!
We couldn't be prouder!
ALUMNI STORIES...
Izzy is probably our longest standing student taught by Becky when she was tiny and gradually built up to a whole load of instrument lessons with a few of our tutors. We wanted to take a moment to sit down with her and discuss where she's been and where she might be going...
COMPETITION WINNERS!
BDMA hosted a COVID-19 competition and were blown away by the entires and it was an honour to see all our young participants finding such creative ways of articulating the surreal situation we found ourselves in during the lock down...
Here are our Gold and Silver winners, Orla and Amity.
Parent Success
Not only to our students push themselves to try new things in the musical world but sometimes even our parents do!
BDMA Parent Matt has been a music lover his whole life and little did we know that not only his daughter a talented songwriter but so was he! After some gentle nudging (although that's not how he tells it!) he agreed to perform at one of our concerts and he blew us all away.
"I performed at the summer concert because Meg [my daughter's tutor} made me do it. Pure coercion, with a bit of intimidation and bullying thrown in. Strangely, I loved it. It's a great environment to share music you've made, even for the spotlight shy. No-one's judging, it's all about giving it a go."
Matt, BDMA Parent
Alumni Stories
Anna was another of BDMA's first students and we took a moment to chat with her about her musical journey...
More coming soon so keep your eyes peeled and don't forget to share the things you are proud of with us!
