Playing a ladder like a trumpet

Following on from my last post, if you like the sound of trumpets, but don’t have access to one, then how about playing a ladder like a trumpet?! My friend Pete Dobbing is a Covent Garden street performer (if you go to his website, check out his 360 panoramic shot, it’s quite amazing) and for part of his show he blows down his ladder to make the sound of a trumpet. Later in his show, he also uses a hosepipe like a trumpet. With my Stomp! roots, I love the idea that you don’t have to have proper instruments to make music, you can make music out of anything if you try hard enough!
